About our company:
  • Vein911® is a physician-led practice founded in Tampa in 2010, focused exclusively on venous and lymphatic medicine. It is now a multi-location organization of about 50 team members, recognized nationally for care, education and research.
  • Led by Dr. Chris Pittman, CEO. Our Mission: We’ll Help You Feel Great Again!® Our Vision: Ritz-Carlton service, Disney fun, and Amazon efficiency. Our Core Values: Go-Getter, Team Player, Transparent Communication, Unequivocal Excellence, Patients Are Our Friends.
  • Our sister company, Health Performance Specialists®, is the largest network of independent vein practices in the USA — 150+ locations, 60+ practices, 30+ states.
Why you should join our group:
  • This is not a role for maintaining the status quo. You will have real authority, direct access to ownership and physician leadership, and the chance to make visible, measurable improvements.
  • We are expanding throughout Tampa Bay and beyond, with national benchmarking through our sister network. This is an opportunity to strengthen, standardize and scale the operating system of an established and growing specialty practice.
Our Location: 2700 W. MLK Blvd., Tampa, FL 33607

Your schedule: 5 days a week.

Your mission & main responsibilities as Director of Practice Operations:

You will lead the day-to-day operational performance of our multi-location practice, turning our strategy, standards and culture into consistent, accountable execution. A fundamental measure of success will be building a management and operating system that allows physician leadership and the CEO to focus increasingly on clinical excellence, strategy, growth and innovation rather than routine operational management. Reports directly to the CEO and works closely with physician and clinical leadership.

Some of your responsibilities:
  • Create consistent operational standards and accountability across all locations.
  • Develop, coach and hold managers accountable for results.
  • Improve workflows, staffing, productivity and systems.
  • Own operating performance across locations, including staffing efficiency, labor productivity, budgets, resource utilization and key practice-level financial metrics.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, metrics and rhythms.
  • Protect the patient experience; break down silos between clinical and non-clinical teams.
  • Support physician and APP workflows; keep procedure rooms, equipment, supplies and staffing ready.
  • Partner with clinical leadership on quality, safety and compliance.
  • Drive operational execution within our EOS® rhythm: own Rocks, To-Dos, Scorecard metrics and Issues; hold managers accountable for commitments; identify root causes; and bring solutions rather than simply escalating problems.
Required experience and qualifications:
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible healthcare operations or medical-practice management preferred; exceptional candidates with a minimum of 8 years and a demonstrated comparable track record will be considered.
  • At least 5 years leading multi-site healthcare operations. Multi-county experience required; multi-state experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing managers, not only frontline employees, across 40–100+ people.
  • A documented record of standardizing operations and improving performance.
  • Effective use of KPIs, scorecards and dashboards; strong performance management.
  • Significant experience working directly with physicians, APPs and clinical teams.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred (MHA or MBA welcomed); proven results weigh more than credentials.
Preferred soft skills:
  • Execution & follow-through
  • Ownership & accountability
  • Direct, calm communication
  • Developing people and leaders
  • Adaptability in a fast-moving culture
